Project Features
- Six RoPax vessels designed for Grimaldi Group's Mediterranean routes—four will sail under the Italian flag and be operated under the Grimaldi Lines brand, while two will be registered under the Greek flag and operated by Grimaldi’s subsidiary Minoan Lines
- Vessels are designed with high freight and passenger capacity, enhanced onboard experience and are powered by engines capable of running on methanol—making them the first ships in the Mediterranean designed specifically for this alternative fuel
- Key green technologies include shore power readiness, silicon-based hull coatings, optimized propulsion, and advanced energy management systems—enabling over 50% CO₂ reduction per cargo unit compared to current vessels on similar routes
- The vessels are scheduled for delivery between 2028 and 2030
