Legal basis and purpose of processing personal data

Deltamarin collects and processes personal data either to fulfil an agreement between Deltamarin and the data subject (or his or her company) as well as in connection with and to enable contacting, communication, marketing, enrolments and other actions related to customer relationship or other cooperation based on the data subject’s consent.

We collect the contact data of clients and potential clients, suppliers and subcontractors, press and other media for sales and marketing purposes.

We may use the contact data to provide marketing and customer and media communication of interest to the data subject.

Content of the service

We collect and store the following information of the data subject:

  • First and last name
  • Title
  • Phone numbers (company phone and/or mobile number)
  • Email address
  • Possibly a description of the data subject’s area of responsibility and/or earlier titles/companies
  • Company name and contact details
  • Direct marketing permission or restriction
  • Communication with the data subject (emails, meeting memos)

We will store the information as long as the data subject works in a company, which is our client or potential client, supplier, subcontractor, press or other media company, or until the data subject requests erasure.

Data source

We store information received from data subjects, for example in meetings, by emails or phone calls, from contracts, messages through our website or other events where the data subject gives his or her contact details.

Data transfers

The data subject’s personal data will be used only within the Deltamarin Group and will not be disclosed to any third parties.

Data transfer to non-EU or non-EEA areas

Data may also be processed in Deltamarin’s China office where appointed users have access to the register for taking care of their customer relationships.


We store and process data with the utmost care. All data is protected by proper data system methods.

Data is stored in a cloud service provided by the processor SugarCRM which takes care of its data security by implementing due technical and organisational measures to ensure the adequate security of data processing. The processor also assists us in fulfilling the requirements set by data processing laws and regulations.

Access to the register is granted only to appointed Deltamarin employees as well as appointed employees of the processor and its consultant. Each user has personal username and password to access the service.

Data subject’s rights

Each data subject has the right to check the data we have stored on him or her.

Each data subject has the right to have personal data concerning him or her rectified.

Each data subject has the right to object to the processing of personal data, for example by restricting direct marketing. For instance, in all our marketing newsletters and other marketing emails the data subject has the possibility to opt out of receiving such messages.

Each data subject has the right to have his or her data erased (‘right to be forgotten’).
