Scope of Work for the Shipowner
The main scope of the conversion included a new helideck, additional cranes, an offloading reel, several deck modules and a laboratory. Deltamarin's scope for the owner included FEED and Class approval design, including:
- Review of existing tanker systems
- Update/upgrade of systems to meet FSO requirements
- Update of existing and new layout
- Stability calculations for the FSO
- Structural strength calculations for the FSO
- Structural reinforcements based on strength calculations
- Structural integration of new equipment
- Preliminary MTOs for steel, piping and cable
- Rip-out specifications
- FSO conversion specifications
- Update of Escape and Safety Plans
- Coordination of the 3D model for the main deck
- Technical specifications for new equipment
- Procurement support
- Safety Studies (subcontracted to DNV)
Project Features
- Storage capacity: 172,253 m³, offloading rate: 6625 m³/h
- The vessel will operate at the Baleine field off the Ivory Coast, in deep waters
- The project was a fast-track project, with a delivery time of only 18 months
