Scope of Work for the Shipowner

The main scope of the conversion included a new helideck, additional cranes, an offloading reel, several deck modules and a laboratory. Deltamarin's scope for the owner included FEED and Class approval design, including:

  • Review of existing tanker systems
  • Update/upgrade of systems to meet FSO requirements
  • Update of existing and new layout
  • Stability calculations for the FSO
  • Structural strength calculations for the FSO
  • Structural reinforcements based on strength calculations
  • Structural integration of new equipment
  • Preliminary MTOs for steel, piping and cable
  • Rip-out specifications
  • FSO conversion specifications
  • Update of Escape and Safety Plans
  • Coordination of the 3D model for the main deck
  • Technical specifications for new equipment
  • Procurement support
  • Safety Studies (subcontracted to DNV)

Project Features

  • Storage capacity: 172,253 m³, offloading rate: 6625 m³/h
  • The vessel will operate at the Baleine field off the Ivory Coast, in deep waters
  • The project was a fast-track project, with a delivery time of only 18 months
  • The work was completed in 2024
