Project Features

  • The Aurora class will be the world's largest car carriers at the time of their delivery
  • Designed to carry up to 9,100 cars, the multi-fuel and zero carbon ready PCTC vessels will be the first in the PCTC segment to operate on zero carbon ammonia, while also being LNG DF and multifuel (NH2, MeOH) ready
  • The vessels feature 1,500 m² of solar panels
  • The second vessel in the Aurora class, 'Höegh Borealis', was delivered in 2024
