Project Features
- Designed for short international voyages (excluding U.S. waters), the vessel primarily operates in the Baltic Sea, initially serving DFDS' daily route between Klaipeda, Lithuania, and Karlshamn, Sweden
- Aura and Luna Seaways are DFDS' largest ferries by cargo capacity at the time of their delivery, with a deadweight capacity of approximately 12,750 tonnes
- Propelled by two six-cylinder and two eight-cylinder main engines totaling 33,600 kW, the ferry achieves a maximum speed of 23 knots and a service speed of 17 knots
- Fitted with exhaust gas scrubbers to comply with new EEDI standards
