Project work in two stages, including
- Evaluation of machinery, including both economical and technical studies of 27 different propulsion and machinery concepts
- Evaluation of operational profiles, including speed, power, and energy requirements
- Study of the exhaust gas clean-up methods
- Study of heat recovery systems
- Comparison of three z-drive unit concepts against traditional shaftlines
- Comparison of four generator station concepts
- Model tests survey, including both open water and ice tests
