- Preparation work for the conversion including evaluation of different combinations before the final project, weight control, stability calculations, yard inquiries, and support for material purchase
- Basic engineering package including General Arrangement, safety diagrams, hull classification for modified area, HVAC diagrams for modified area, and electric diagrams for modified area
- Workshop drawings for the yard including structure of sponson and ducktail, and aluminium structure of conference area
- Management and supervision including owner, classification and authority approvals, site assistance at the yard, and coordination
Project Features
- The scope of the conversion included several key updates: the addition of a sponson and ducktail, the creation of a new conference deck, and an increase in the total passenger capacity. The project also involved regaining ice class certification to 1A, refurbishing the shop area, upgrading selected cabins, and reinstalling the hanging car deck.
