- Concept design, covering main dimensions, capacities, speed and power, general arrangement, machinery arrangement, weight calculations, midship section, hull form, stability calculations, and assistance in yard discussions
- 3D modeling simulations for aircraft loading and unloading, along with specialized seakeeping model tests and scenario simulations for aircraft transport
Scope of Work for the Shipyard
- Complete basic design and site team support, covering general arrangement, hull, outfitting, accommodation, machinery, and electrical systems
- FEM analysis and specialized calculations, such as vibration, maneuvering, and seakeeping calculations
- Coordination of model tests, including hull form and appendage definitions, CFD calculations, and analysis of model test results
- On-site coordination of detailed design and technical support for yard and supplier interactions
Project Features
- Special design for carrying components and sub-assembly structures of the A380 aircraft, including a high upper hold, reinforced main deck for specialized platforms, and provisions for low humidity and other environmental conditions
- Trailer loading considered with an exceptionally large hoistable deck
- Seakeeping analysis performed using strip theory calculations with the SHIPMO program
- 3D steel model developed for hull classification drawings
