Deltamarin Ltd, the Finnish naval architecture and engineering company, has established a subsidiary to enlarge the scope of the group’s services. In order to serve the customers better, the new company Deltamarin Floating Construction Ltd will focus on delivering engineering, procurement, construction and installation solutions for the marine and offshore industry on turnkey basis.

Deltamarin participates in the design of the first LNG-powered icebreaker

Deltamarin has been awarded a contract by Arctech Helsinki Shipyard Inc. for the entire machinery and technical spaces outfitting production design of the very first LNG-powered icebreaker. The unique vessel is to be built for the Finnish Transport Agency, and aims to reduce emissions and fuel costs by using both diesel and LNG as fuel.
