Over the recent months, Boka Vanguard and Pioneering Spirit have proved their capabilities and set new records in offshore heavy transport and installation operations. Deltamarin is proud to have participated in the design and engineering of these record-breaking vessels.
As part of the Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) project led by Equinor and partners Shell and Total, Deltamarin has signed a contract to support the energy majors in LCO2 vessel design and environmental optimisation. CCS will be an essential part of reducing carbon emissions and reaching global climate targets.
Deltamarin has signed a contract with Rauma Marine Constructions Oy (RMC) for the design of a LNG-fuelled car passenger ferry for Kvarken Link AB. The commission covers basic and detail design services for all hull and machinery areas.
Blue Star Line has contracted Deltamarin to continue with the design of Titanic II. The contract covers activities and tasks for the design process, consultancy and project management services. Deltamarin will provide Blue Star Line with outline design services including finalising and modifying the existing design to comply with the latest rules and regulations.
Deltamarin is reinforcing its position in the global offshore Oil & Gas industry by participating in the Martin Linge FSO project of Knutsen NYK Offshore Tankers AS (KNOT). Deltamarin supported KNOT by providing engineering services to the tanker-to-FSO conversion project.
Blue Star Line confirmed earlier this autumn that work on the Titanic ll ocean liner will continue. Deltamarin has now also recommenced the work on the project by first reviewing the project. We will also be responsible for coordinating the various parties involved in the rebuild.
Deltamarin and Elomatic, both from Turku Finland, have signed a significant agreement with MV WERFTEN Wismar GmbH for the basic and detail design of a second Global class cruise ship. The value of the contract is approximately €16.5M for Deltamarin and €17M for Elomatic.
The Project Forward initiative led by Athens-Based Arista Shipping, with Deltamarin as one of the participants, demonstrates that with LNG as fuel, an advanced hull design and highly efficient propulsion machinery, it will be possible to meet the IMO’s target for a 40 percent reduction in carbon intensity by 2030.
Deltamarin has signed a contract with Norwegian Yacht Voyages AS for conceptual design and consultancy services for the energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly M/Y Caroline expedition mega yacht project. Deltamarin will provide conceptual design together with selected architect partners, covering the development of the technical design and documentation.
Deltamarin has a long history in energy-efficient ship designs where hull form development has always been one of the spearheads. Nowadays, hull form and performance optimisation with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a standard procedure in Deltamarin’s ship projects.
