• Steel design for the pontoons, legs, and corner sections
• Complete piping and outfitting design for the pontoons, legs, machinery area, deck piping, and drilling area
• Site supervision including oversight of piping and machinery system installations, coordination between design and production, and responsibility for design modifications

Project Features

• The Pipematic CAD program was used for isometric piping design in our workstations
• Part lists from the piping drawings were directly transferred to GVA’s computerized material handling system via a data line
• The entire drilling area was designed using modeling techniques
• The project was completed in approximately one year, utilizing around 70,000 man-hours
