The Horizon-class PCTC was a new generation design developed by
Höegh Autoliners and Deltamarin.

team, the hull lines were refined until the most
effective performance for this type of vessel was
achieved. Once this was in place, further studies
resulted in the ground-breaking propeller design
together with Deltamarin’s own rudder design.
Further studies in power savings, which resulted
in the extensive use of frequency controlled
electric motors, LED lighting, etc, were all designed
to reduce the power consumption and thereby
to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) as much as
possible.

away from traditional fuel oil to more sustainable
